SC/UPC multimode MM OM4 fiber optic pigtail, 1.5 m, Easy Strip — PG-1.5SC(MM)(OM4)(ON)E is a factory-terminated fiber lead designed for splicing to fiber optic cable inside optical distribution frames, patch panels, fiber boxes and subscriber outlets.

The pigtail uses Corning OM4 G50/125 multimode optical fiber and has a total length of 1.5 m. The fiber is protected by a FRNC Easy Strip buffer with a diameter of 0.9 ± 0.05 mm, designed for convenient preparation of the fiber before fusion splicing.

One end is factory-terminated with an SC connector with UPC polishing, while the opposite end remains unterminated for fusion splicing to the fiber cable. This configuration provides a convenient transition between a permanent spliced fiber link and a removable SC/UPC optical connection.

Easy Strip construction

The Easy Strip buffer is designed to simplify fiber preparation before fusion splicing. A relatively long section of the buffer can be removed cleanly, making installation easier and helping reduce the risk of accidental fiber damage during stripping.

The 1.5 m pigtail length provides sufficient routing and service reserve inside an optical distribution frame, fiber box or splice tray after fusion splicing.

Installation notes

The unterminated end of the pigtail is prepared and fusion-spliced to a compatible OM4 multimode fiber. The splice should be protected with a fiber splice protection sleeve and placed securely inside a splice tray.

Before inserting the SC/UPC connector into an optical adapter, make sure the connector end face is clean. Keep the protective cap installed until connection and avoid touching the ferrule end face.
