Cablexpert FTP Cat.6 Patch Cord 2 m, RJ-45 8P8C, Green, PP6-2M/G

Cablexpert FTP Cat.6 patch cord PP6-2M/G, 2 m, is a ready-to-use shielded network cable for connecting desktop computers, laptops, routers, switches, patch panels, servers, network storage, IP cameras, wireless access points and other equipment with an Ethernet port.

The cable is rated Cat.6, uses FTP shielding and has RJ-45 8P8C connectors on both ends. The molded plugs with locking tabs are factory-installed, so no field crimping is required. The connector contact specification is listed as 50u".

The construction uses a bimetal conductor, AWG26, with an LDPE outer jacket. The product specifications list a data rate of up to 10 Gbps. Actual network performance depends on the complete channel, including route length, patch panels, outlets, active equipment and installation quality. Cable color: green.

Where it is used

The patch cord is intended for indoor network equipment interconnection in home, office and professional Ethernet networks. It can be used at individual workstations as well as in telecommunications and server cabinets.

Suitable for connecting:

• desktop PCs and laptops to routers, switches or network outlets;
• switches to patch panels in telecommunications cabinets;
• servers, NAS devices and other network equipment;
• IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and other RJ-45 devices;
• office workstations in structured cabling systems;
• network devices in LAN and Ethernet infrastructure.

Important: FTP shielding is most effective as part of a correctly designed shielded channel. Compatible shielded outlets, modules, patch panels and related equipment should be used where required by the project.

Advantages

• Cat.6 is a widely used category for modern Ethernet LANs;
• FTP shielding helps reduce the impact of external electromagnetic interference;
• RJ-45 8P8C plugs on both ends provide a ready-made connection without field crimping;
• molded connector construction improves mechanical protection at the cable-to-plug transition;
• locking tabs help keep connectors securely seated in network ports;
• AWG26 conductor gauge is specified for this product series;
• the 2 m length allows the patch cord to match a specific equipment layout;
• the green color is useful for visual identification of network links;
• factory-terminated construction makes installation and replacement convenient.

Main specifications

Construction features

The patch cord has factory-installed RJ-45 connectors with molded strain-relief areas where the cable enters the plug. This construction is convenient for everyday use with computers, switches, routers and patch panels. The locking tab helps keep the connector securely inserted in the network port.

The FTP design includes an overall shield that helps reduce electromagnetic interference. This makes the patch cord a practical choice for server cabinets, office cabling zones and other environments with multiple cable runs or nearby electronic equipment.

How to choose patch cord length

Choose a patch cord with a small amount of extra length. A cable that is too short may put strain on connectors, while an unnecessarily long cable can create loops and complicate cable management. Cablexpert PP6-2M/G is 2 m long, so the actual distance between devices should be measured before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

1. What does FTP mean?
FTP is a shielded twisted-pair construction with an overall foil screen that helps reduce external electromagnetic interference.

2. Which connectors are installed?
The patch cord has RJ-45 8P8C network connectors with locking tabs on both ends.

3. Does this cable need to be crimped?
No. It is a factory-terminated patch cord with molded connectors and is ready to use with compatible equipment.

4. Which devices can be connected?
Desktop PCs, laptops, routers, switches, patch panels, servers, NAS systems, IP cameras, access points and other Ethernet devices with RJ-45 ports.

5. What is the cable length?
Cablexpert PP6-2M/G is 2 m long.

6. What color is the cable?
The outer jacket color is green.

7. What is the conductor gauge?
The product specifications list AWG26.

8. What data rate is specified?
The series is specified for up to 10 Gbps. Actual performance depends on every component in the network channel.

9. What is the difference between FTP and UTP?
FTP includes an overall foil shield, while UTP has no overall shielding. A properly designed shielded system requires compatible components throughout the channel.
