SC-SC Fiber Optic Patch Cord, Single-Mode G.652.D, 5 m, Armored 3 mm, Black

SC-SC Armored fiber optic patch cord, 5 m long — a ready-to-use armored fiber optic cable designed for connecting telecommunications equipment and routing optical lines inside buildings. It is manufactured using ITU-T G.652.D single-mode optical fiber and is equipped with SC-SC connectors on both ends.

The cable has an outer diameter of approximately 3 mm and features an Armored construction with a steel protective element. The armor increases resistance to mechanical damage, compression, accidental impacts, and bending during installation and operation.

The outer jacket is made of LSZH material (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), which provides reduced smoke emission and contains no halogens. This makes the cable well suited for installation inside residential, office, technical, and telecommunications premises.

Where it is used

The patch cord is intended for organizing and connecting fiber optic lines inside buildings. It can be used in apartments, private houses, offices, entrances, technical rooms, server rooms, and telecommunications facilities.

Suitable for installation:

• in cable ducts and trunking;
• in plastic and other protective conduits;
• in cable trays;
• in telecommunications and server cabinets;
• between floors inside a building;
• from an optical box or fiber distribution panel to subscriber equipment;
• in areas where additional mechanical protection of the optical fiber is required.

The patch cord can be used to connect ONU/ONT terminals, optical distribution frames, subscriber boxes, media converters, optical switches, and other telecommunications equipment.

Important: the armored construction protects the cable from mechanical impact, but the cable is not self-supporting and is not intended for aerial suspension between poles, supports, or buildings. For this type of installation, a special self-supporting fiber optic cable with an appropriate strength member must be used.

Advantages

• ITU-T G.652.D single-mode fiber — widely used in telecommunications fiber optic networks;
• SC-SC connectors — factory-terminated and ready for connection without installing connectors;
• Armored construction — provides additional protection for the optical fiber;
• steel armor increases the mechanical strength of the cable;
• 3 mm diameter — compact size for convenient routing;
• LSZH jacket — low smoke emission and halogen-free material;
• black outer jacket;
• suitable for FTTH, FTTB, PON networks and other fiber optic systems;
• finished patch cord length — 5 m.

Construction features

The internal optical fiber is additionally protected by armoring elements, allowing the cable to be used in locations where a standard fiber optic patch cord could be damaged by mechanical impact. At the same time, the compact 3 mm outer diameter makes it convenient to route the cable in ducts, trunking, and telecommunications cabinets.

SC-SC G.652.D Armored 3 mm fiber optic patch cord, 5 m, black — a practical solution for connecting subscriber and telecommunications equipment inside buildings where stable optical signal transmission must be combined with increased mechanical protection.
